Yesterday, I opened up my weekly Bloglovin' Newsletter and all of a sudden I burst into tears! It's nothing negative about going to second grade, just that now I won't be following all of the Kindergarten Bloggers that I love! It's like having to say goodbye to a group of close friends....OK, so maybe we haven't met, but they share, I share back, and we all feel connected to others. Although I've got to admit, I don't care what grade they put me in, I will always keep my eye on Deanna Jump's blog....if only for her bright sunny attitude!!
I taught second grade many years ago and so I am not worried, but A LOT HAS CHANGED (can I hear an "Amen!"). So I began specifically looking for ideas to start up my new SECOND grade classroom! Here are some great second grades blogs I have found!
Check out the brand new baby blog that has just begun!!!! I think this is one I definitely will be following and I LOVE the idea of guided math groups!!! Book study, here I come!
All of this to say, Hey....it's gonna be OK! I'm looking forward to making new friends and getting new ideas. And if you know someone who I haven't yet discovered, PLEASE send me a note so I can surf their way. Until then, Aloha!
